"NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! He can't hurt Kim, he can't, he just can't!!!!! Why the fuck is this happening? She just can't go away. Oh my god I can't deal with this!" JC screamed with tears pouring out of his eyes. "Take me, but please god, don't let him hurt Kim, she didn't do anything!!!" Chris let go of Cheryl and ran over to JC, trying to calm him down. He brought with him a box of tissues. "JC, man, I know this has to be tough. Stay strong. That's what we all have to do. We can't let this fucking note-happy son-of-a-bitch get to us. That's what he wants, and it's working." "Bu- bu- but KIM!!!!!!!! He's gonna hurt Kim!!!!" JC sobbed. Now everyone was crying. Chris couldn't say or do anything, even with all the psychology and reasoning in the world. He looked at everyone else and then looked down at the floor. Lynn had done all that she could possibly do for the time being. She had contacted the state police as well as the local authorities concerning the matter. So far, no sightings had been made for James' car. By either the authorities or Lynn, even after drivng around the greater Orlando area for 2 hours. Where would he go with Kim? There were no phone numbers for Lynn to call, except for the house. Quickly, she dialed the number. Everyone jumped when the phone began to ring. They all exchanged worrisome glances. Chelsea, who was the closest, picked up the phone. "Hello?" "Hi Chels, this is Lynn. How's everything going? Are your windows locked?" "Well, yes, JC just locked them, but we've got a situation here," Chels said, through clenched teeth. Her hands were shaking so bad she could barely hold the phone up to her ear. She began to tell Lynn the situation. "Oh my! I can't come back to the house. I have to stay out here until something comes up. Hopefully I'll get a call from the police or someone giving me a clue. Until then, just sit tight and calm down. Have someone make some tea or something. Anything. I'll try to keep in touch as often as I can. I have to go now. Bye." Chelsea hung up the phone and plopped down on the kitchen floor, crying. Katy ran over to her and gave her a big hug. "Hey Cheryl?" "What Chels?" "Can you put on some tea?" "Sure thing," Cheryl said as she let out a big yawn. As she went over to boil the water, she was glad that Brandi still had one more night in the hopital, and that she would be away from all of this, even if it was just for right now. Soon everyone was quiet. Tea had been made and the lights had been dimmed. It was now 11:30 that night. Still no word from Lynn or anyone else. Joey and Chelsea were on the floor, while Joey was giving a back massage. It was supposed to relieve stress, but wasn't working too well. JC was curled up in a ball at one end of the couch, hugging a soft round squishy pillow. Katy and Lance were still at the kitchen table sipping on tea. "Is everything going to be ok?" Katy asked Lance. "I really don't know." He reached over to take Katy by the hand. "I wish I had the answers, but I don't. All I want is for everyone to be safe, especially you, Katy. I don't know how JC's going to deal with this, but all I know is that if it were you that were missing, I wouldn't be able to live. I couldn't go on without you. I just want you to know that. I love you." "I love you too, Lance. I just hope that everything will turn out to be alright." "I know, me too. Look, we can't keep thinking about this. Let's go watch tv," Lance suggested, leading Katy over to the livingroom. "Good idea," as they sat down on the couch, next to Cheryl and Chris. "Are you tired?" Chris asked. "Yeah, I think I wanna go to sleep," Cheryl answered. "Can you bring me out a pillow?" "What?" Chris asked again. "What for?" "Well, I want to go to sleep." "Follow me," Chris said as Cheryl got up and followed him. He brought her upstairs to his bedroom, where Gidget had been sleeping. "Here, you can have my bed. Gidget's found a place to crash for the night, so why don't you join her?" "But Chris, where are you going to sleep?" "Don't worry, if I don't fall asleep downstairs, I'll come back up here. Just get some rest. Goodnite," Chris said as he kissed her gently on the cheek. He turned off the light and left the room. At almost midnight, Lynn had finally gotten the break she was hoping for. Just outside of Orlando, on a deserted road, there was a car parked on the side with it's lights on. Lynn pulled over behind the car, with her headlights flashing on the car's bumper. The license plate identified with that of James'. Being brave, Lynn walked up to the car. It was dark inside, and only the lighted dashboard could be seen. She sprinted back to her car to call the local police.
