Play Ball!

Lets Go Mets! Yesterday's game was suspended in the top of the 7th because of wet weather tied at 1 run each. After 13 innings (6 yesterday, 7 today) the Mets prevailed with a bases loaded grounder to Red's first baseman Joey Votto by Lucas Duda that he could not field cleanly and allowed the winning run to score. Bobby Parnell got the win, his first since 2013.

Another Mets Walk Off Win!

Lets Go Mets! Deb and I spent almost 11 hours at the ballpark today. Nearly 16 innings of baseball, 2 Mets wins, one a walk off win, one historic MLB debut, great seats, and an hour of classic rock music.

Long Island native Steve Matz pitched a great game. Steve went 3 for 3 with a double and 4 RBI's. Never been done before. The Mets won their 4th game in a row after losing 7 straight on the road. In one afternoon, the Mets outlook became brighter, they gained a game on first place Washington, added another young arm to their staff and brought back onboard many who had written off the Mets as a contender with the season only at the halfway point.

Mets win 2 today

After the two Mets wins the Steve Miller Band played a postgame concert. They played all their hits including "Jungle Love", "Take the Money and Run", "The Joker", "Jet Airliner", and more. It was a nice hour of music to end a great baseball day.
