This morning we woke up really early (5:00am) and flew from Beijing to Changcha. We checked into our room and had about 1.5 hours and then it was time.

We drove 10 minutes to the Public Works building and then it happened. There were 8 families with us. We were all very excited. I did boo-hoo before I even got into the room. We were in one room and the babies were in a separate room. One by one they called us up to get our babies. We were number 4.

They brought out this bundle of joy that looked NOTHING like her picture. We looked at all the documents and pictures and we could not make a definite identification which is mandatory. Finally, I noticed her looking at me and she gave us the worried look she had in her picture that we received over 8 weeks ago. The pictures that were taken in February looked nothing like this child. After that look, I started to cry and I knew Amy made me stop because she did not want to scare the baby. She was in our arms at last.

Olivia came right to us. No long crying spell. She just knew that we were her parents and that she was put on this earth for us. She also knew within 10 seconds that I was put on this planet to spoil her (SHERPA!).

This baby is gorgeous, check out the pictures. She loves to play and is very active. She is also very small. 6-month clothes fall off of her.

We will write more soon and share more pictures. The weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. It was worth the wait.
