AUGUST 20th, 2006

Today was a down day. No tours. No heavy walking.

Woke up later than normal (6:30am) and called a few people. Had breakfast and moved hotels. We are now in the Poly Plaza. Nice but not nearly as nice as the Hilton. It is within walking distance to Yashaw (where there's a local free market). I have been there before so I knew the lay of the land.

We got some movies and some CDs. Then another suitcase to fit all the new stuff! Then I bought a copy of Psalms on bamboo. It is very cool. Amy designed her own pearl, jade and quartz necklace. Abby got a new bag, while Emma got some girly shirts and a panda bear.

Amy was a little worried because we had to go into the "back room" to pick out our DVDs. We then decided to have lunch. Guess what we had?....

....KFC. That's right! Nasty, greasy, icky KFC. The kids wanted normal food again and I just let it go. I did not pick this battle to fight as we will be here for a few more weeks. NASTY KFC. There are so many KFC's here. Two on each block. On the other side of the block is a Starbucks or McDonalds.

Met some other families that we will be traveling with. One couple has a few kids that are Emma and Abby's age.

Going to try to do the Acrobat Show again. Hopefully no one will get sick again.
