Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Erik Daniels started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Ellie Lavey, 5-7 Sr. Justice Biggerstaff, 6-0 So. Ava Rankin, 5-4 Fr. Layla Flynn, and 5-5 Fr. Eriyaune Daniels. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-6 Jr. Ella Gabbert, 5-6 So. Jentry Bertram, 5-8 8th Grade Koko Castle, 5-6 Jr. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Jr. Claire Roberts.

Paul Laurence Dunbar defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 52-43. Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 37.2% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 14 of 25 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 LCA turnovers. Lexington Christian Academy shot 24% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Dunbar turnovers.

Layla Flynn led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 15 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, eight assists, and four steals. Ellie Lavey added 12 points including two three point baskets, six of seven free throws, and three rebounds. Justice Biggerstaff recorded 11 points and six rebounds. Eriyaune Daniels chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.

5-9 Jr. Sophia Pridemore led Lexington Christian Academy with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Koko Castle added 11 points including five of six free throws. Chapel Brown recorded eight points including two three point baskets, and six rebounds. Claire Roberts chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and two rebounds.

Tates Creek vs. Lafayette (Boys)

Lafayette led 29-28 at halftime and outscored Tates Creek 24-16 in the third quarter to pull away for a 69-61 victory. There were 11 lead changes and five ties in this game. Lafayette shot 66.7% from the field including six of eight from the three point line. The Generals connected on 23 of 30 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 41.3% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc. The Commodores connected on 20 of 26 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.

Tyler Hunt led Lafayette with 14 points including six of six free throws, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Yashiro Hurst added 13 points including four of six free throws, two rebounds, six assists, and two steals. KJ Jones recorded 13 points on four of four from the field, five of six from the free throw line and three steals. Eli Thomas chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, and three assists. Eli Steele added eight points and six rebounds.

Dawson Garth led Tates Creek with 18 points including six of 10 free throws. Stephen Franklin added 13 points including six of six free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Tates Creek rallied in the final quarter to earn a 53-49 come-from-behind victory over Lexington Catholic. There were seven lead changes and 10 ties in this game. Tates Creek shot 33.3% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 39.5% from the field including zero of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 15 of 25 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Tates Creek turnovers.

Miracle Morbley led Tates Creek with 16 points including eight of nine free throws, five rebounds, and two steals. Ashton Harris added 13 points including seven of 10 free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. Kaleigh Potts recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Isabelle Ellison chipped in with seven points.

5-8 Jr. Alivia Morris led Lexington Catholic with 25 points including nine of 10 free throws and 15 rebounds before fouling out late in the game. 5-9 So. Payton Avilez added five points and three rebounds. Lydia Kennedy recorded four points, four rebounds, and three assists.

The Lady Indians connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 35 points off 27 Model turnovers. Model shot 23.5% from the field including zero of one from beyond the arc. The Lady Patriots connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored six points off four Madison Central turnovers.

Cameryn Ridderikhoff led Madison Central with 17 points including two three point baskets and two rebounds in 10 minutes of playing time. Nataya Strader added 12 points and three rebounds. Eden Carter recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and six steals. Brittany Campbell dished out six assists and Brooke Campbell recorded five points, four rebounds, and two assists. 5-6 So. Madison Southern trailed Berea 15-13 at halftime but outscored the Lady Pirates 21-13 in the third quarter on their way to a hard fought 54-45 victory. There were four ties and three lead changes in this game. Madison Southern shot 45,2% from the field including eight of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 18 of 20 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 50% from the field including 11 of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Madison Southern turnovers.

Hadley French led Madison Southern with 23 points including three three point baskets, 12 of 12 free throws, and two assists. Bailey Hensley added nine points, six rebounds, and two assists. Ashlan Estep recorded five points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Madison Central raced out to a 17-2 lead and withstood a determined Madison Southern rally to earn a 56-49 victory. Madison Central shot the ball extremely well tonight, hit their free throws down the stretch, and Madison Southern was hampered by early foul problems to Ashlan Estep. Madison Central shot 50% from the field including eight of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 45.5% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 17 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals. Brittany Campbell added 17 points including three three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, two rebounds, and seven assists. Crittenden County earned a 56-53 come-from-behind victory over Lexington Christian Academy. Crittenden County shot 44.9% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers. Lexington Christian Academy shot 36.8% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.

Pikeville shot 40.8% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.

Lanesville vs. Marquette Catholic (Class 1A Championship)

Lanesville coach Angie Hinton started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Hadley Crosier, 5-7 Jr. Hylton Brumley, 5-10 Sr. Ellie Schneider, 5-5 Sr. Eva Kerr, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Davis. Marquette Catholic coach Katie Collignon countered with 5-11 Jr. Natalie Robinson, 5-7 Fr. Marissa Pleasant, 6-0 Jr. Livia Balling, 5-4 Jr. Jiselle Chabes, and 5-7 So. Laniah Davis.

Lanesville pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Marquette Catholic by the score of 51-43. Marquette got off to a fast start as Marissa Pleasant connected on three quick three point baskets to give the Blazers a 9-2 lead and to make matters worse for Lanesville star Hadley Crosier went down late in the first quarter with a leg injury and was unable to return. Lanesville led 27-26 at halftime but Marquette Catholic rallied to take a 33-31 lead after three quarters. However Lanesville was able to finish strong down the stretch to earn the victory. The future looks bright for Marquette Catholic as all six players who saw action today are slated to return next season.

Lanesville shot 33.3% from the field including three of 20 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 24 Marquette Catholic turnovers. Marquette Catholic shot 37.8% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc. The Blazers connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Lanesville turnovers.

6-1 Jr. Shelby Allen led Lanesville with 20 points including four of five free throws and seven rebounds. Hylton Brumley added 15 points including eight of nine free throws. Emma Davis recorded five points and two assists and Ava Kerr dished out four assists.

Laniah Davis led Marquette Catholic with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Marissa Pleasant added 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Livia Balling recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers trailed 24-15 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat Brownstown Central 44-36 and earn a record tying seven state championship. There were seven lead changes and four ties in this game. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers shot 46.9% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Browntown Central turnovers. Brownstown Central shot 31.7% from the field including two of 22 from beyond the arc. The Braves connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Fort Wayne Bishop Luers turnovers.

Miley Wareing led Fort Wayne Bishop Luers with 17 points including five of seven free throws, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Gibson Southern withstood a late Norwell rally and a last second shot to earn a 63-60 victory and the championship. Lawrence Central outscored Lake Central 19-2 in the second quarter to take control of the game on their way to a 55-28 victory. Lawrence Central shot 46.8% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Bears connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Lake Central turnovers. Lake Central shot 26.2% from the field including three of 19 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Lawrence Central turnovers.

Jaylah Lampley led Lawrence Central with 19 points including four three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two assists. Aniyah NcKenzie added 12 points and nine rebounds. Lola Lampley recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Laila Abdurraqib chipped in with four points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Tates Creek coach Jana Costner countered with 5-8 Sr. Ashton Harris, 5-8 Sr. Chloe Byrd, 5-9 7th Grade Isabelle Ellison, 5-7 Fr. Kaleigh Potts, and 5-6 Jr. Miracle Morbley.

Tates Creek defeated Scott County by the score of 69-62. The score was tied five times and there were five lead changes in this game. Tates Creek shot 35.6% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 22 of 35 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 35.4% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Tates Creek turnovers.

Kaleigh Potts led Tates Creek with 21 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 16 free throws, eight rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Ashton Harris added 21 points including eight of 12 free throws, eight rebounds, two blocks, and three steals. Miracle Morbley recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. 5-8 Fr. Alyiah Baird chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets, and four rebounds.

Allison Mosby led Scott County with 16 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Maleiyah Moore added 14 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and two steals. Great Crossing withstood a late rally to defeat Newport Central Catholic by the score of 47-42. Great Crossing shot 36.7% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 22 Newport Central Catholic turnovers. Newport Central Catholic shot 31.9% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc. They connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Great Crossing turnovers.

Olivia Tierney led Great Crossing with 20 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Ava Schureman added 11 points, four rebounds, and four steals. 5-5 Fr. Nia Carr added six points, four rebounds, and three steals. Kennedy Harrison recorded five points, 11 rebounds, five blocked shots, and two steals. South Oldham coach Gene Heffington countered with 5-8 Sr. Ella Morrison, 5-7 Sr. Chloe John, 5-8 So. Madison Young, 5-5 Sr. Avery Flynn, and 5-7 Sr. Sydney Hall.

Great Crossing trailed 29-22 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat South Oldham by the score of 60-55. There were three lead changes and four ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 38.8% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 South Oldham turnovers. South Oldham shot 35.3% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Dragons connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.

Jaelle Henderson led Great Crossing with 14 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Ava Schureman added 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Olivia Tierney recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Kendall Kearney chipped in with nine points and two blocked shots.
