Great Crossing vs. South Oldham (Girls)

Great Crossing coach Matt Walls started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Ava Schureman, 5-7 Sr. Olivia Tierney, 6-1 Jr. Kennedy Harrison, 5-3 8th Grade Kendall Kearney, and 5-6 Jr. Jaelle Henderson. South Oldham coach Gene Heffington countered with 5-8 Sr. Ella Morrison, 5-7 Sr. Chloe John, 5-8 So. Madison Young, 5-5 Sr. Avery Flynn, and 5-7 Sr. Sydney Hall.

Great Crossing trailed 29-22 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat South Oldham by the score of 60-55. There were three lead changes and four ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 38.8% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 South Oldham turnovers. South Oldham shot 35.3% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Dragons connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.

Jaelle Henderson led Great Crossing with 14 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Ava Schureman added 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Olivia Tierney recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Kendall Kearney chipped in with nine points and two blocked shots. Kennedy Harrison recorded seven points, 11 rebounds, five blocked shots, and two steals.

Madison Young led South Oldham with 28 points including seven of eight free throws, 12 rebounds,two assists, and two blocked shots. Ella Morrison added 15 points including four of five free throws, six rebounds, and two blocked shots. Chloe John recorded four points, four rebounds, and three steals.
