Jaylan Green, 6-0 Sr. Aidan Reid, 5-8 Jr. Khamri McMullen, and 5-8 Sr. Jarvis Byrd.

Frederick Douglass raced out to a 26-12 first quarter lead on their way to a 78-72 victory over Henry Clay.  The Broncos raced out to a 58-38 lead in the third quarter and held on for the victory.  Frederick Douglass shot 60% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line.  The Broncos was only eight of 21 from the free throw line, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 50% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Jaylan Green led Frederick Douglass with 19 points.  DaShawn Jackson added 13 points including two three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds.  Aidan Reid chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  6-5 Sr. Bilal Chhadh and 6-0 Jr. Zaydan Fergerson each scored eight points. 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 22 points including eight of nine free throws and seven rebounds.  6-1 Sr. Sebian Dillard added 19 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Marquis Mackey recorded 14 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  6-2 So. Scott County was whistled for 27 personal fouls and Bullitt East connected on 28 of 45 free throws on their way to an 80-69 victory over Scott County.  The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Bullitt East shot 51.2% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Chargers connected on 28 of 45 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 52.1% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Bullitt East turnovers.

Zak Perdew led Bullitt East with 30 points including three three point baskets and 11 of 14 free throws.  Hunter Brogan added 11 points including eight of 10 free throws and five rebounds.  Will Blanford recorded 11 points and Ethan Boyer chipped in with nine points.

Sacred Heart held on down the stretch to eke out a 60-58 victory over Anderson County on the road.  Anderson County raced out to an 18-6 lead in the first quarter but Sacred Heart rallied to outscore Anderson County 19-9 in the third quarter to lead 46-44 after three quarters.  Sacred Heart shot 38.8% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Anderson County turnovers.  Anderson County shot 39.2% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Bearcats connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 21 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Destinee Marshall led Sacred Heart with 18 points including four three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.  Erin Toller added 17 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Kristen Clemons recorded 11 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Triniti Ralston chipped in with 10 points, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Everette Hammond led Upstate with 27 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 12 free throws, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Tommy Bruner added 19 points including three three point baskets, six of six free throws and five rebounds.  Josh Aldrich recorded 12 points including six of seven free throws and seven rebounds.  Nevin Zink pulled down eight rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky raced out to a 15 point lead midway through the second quarter but Youngstown State rallied to only trail by four points; 35-31 at halftime.  The Penguins outscored EKU 23-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 72-63 victory.  Youngstown State connected on 11 three point baskets and was a sizzling 17 of 19 from the free throw line.

Youngstown State shot 46.8% from the field including 11 of 20 from the three point line.  The Penguins connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 EKU turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 40.3% from the field including seven of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Youngstown State turnovers.

Abby Moffett led Woodford County with 19 points including three three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, five rebounds, and three assists.  Delaney Enlow added nine points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot.  Kayla Harlow recorded four points, nine rebounds, two assists, and seven blocked shots.  5-6 So. Eastern Kentucky erased an early seven point deficit in the final quarter to defeat Chattanooga by a score of 71-65.  Chattanooga trailed by 12 early in the second quarter but 5-6 Fr. PG Dena Jarrells came off the bench to spark a comeback and helped pull the Mocs to within 2; 33-31 at halftime.  Unfortunately for Chattanooga Jarrells rolled her ankle early in the third quarter and was not able to return.  Chattanooga came out firing in the final quarter and led by seven points with 8:41 left in the game before EKU rallied for the win.  There were six ties and eight lead changes in the game.

Eastern Kentucky shot 39.3% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, scored nine points off 10 Chattanooga turnovers, and held a 23-8 advantage in bench scoring.  Chattanooga shot 38.1% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Mocs connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

De’Ayra Davis led Eastern Kentucky with 23 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Davis was also five of six free throws hitting some clutch free throws down the stretch.  Bria Bass added 17 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray recorded nine points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.  I’Liyah Green scored three points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and blocked two shots.

Eboni Williams led Chattanooga with 23 points including two three point baskets, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Lakelyn Bouldin added 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Nakeia Burks also reached double digits with 10 points , three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Dena Jarrells came off the bench to add six points and four assists before suffering an ankle injury.

Pikeville took a 36-0 lead early in the second half on their way to a 36-7 victory over Louisville Holy Cross.  Pikeville recorded 17 first downs and 423 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were penalized 10 times for80 yards.  Holy Cross recorded three first downs and 100 yards of total offense.  The Cougars were penalized twice for 20 yards.

Cody Raines led Pikeville’s ground game with 60 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Carson Wright carried the ball six times for 37 yards.  Isaac McNamee completed 14 of 21 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns.  Jackson Hensley caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown.  Seth Pugh added four receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown.  Clay Tinsley recorded two receptions for 46 yards.  Cody Raines and Zac Lockhart added touchdown receptions of 22 and 20 yards respectively.  Jackson Hensley returned one kickoff for 30 yards.  Jon Collum led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in lost yardage.  Matt Compton added two solo and six assisted tackles.  Brody Birchfield recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.

Luke Davis led Holy Cross’ ground game with 50 yards on eight carries.  Lex Thomas carried the ball five times for 12 yards and a touchdown.  Chaz Geraghty completed three of 10 passes for 24 yards.  Lex Thomas caught two passes for 19 yards.  Luke Davis returned five kickoffs for 48 yards.
