This is loosely based on Nora Roberts book The Winning Hand. Buffy leaves her dominating ex-fiance, Angel, and runs away to Vegas. She's broke and scared, when she puts her last 5 dollars in a slot machine and wins 2 million! She's quickly taken under the wing of the casino's handsome owner, Spike.

This was my very first fanfic, I ran across it and thought I would post it. I stopped working on it after ff.net banned nc-17 fics since I didn't have anywhere to post it until now. It started out with an idea for a few missing scenes from Tabula Rasa (one of my fav eps) and went from there. It's still a WIP but if people are interested I might go back to complete it.

(Fantasy AU) Buffy and Spike have been best friends since they met in college nearly 10 years ago. Spike needs Buffy's help, asking her to attend a week long business trip as his pretend fiance. After some cajoling she agrees. During the trip, Buffy has a mild accident. Spike discovers his problems have only just begun when Buffy wakes to the belief that she really is Spike's fiance!

Basically I like the idea of a psychic link through a Claim, and the plot devices bringing back the Initiative can do for you.
