The Asian American Studies Workshop

The A.A.S.Ws
AASW or the Asian American Studies Workshop is a series of workshops in which APA youth learn about issues that shape the world around them. Topics come from history, like the death of Vincent Chin, or from current events, like the Bilingual Education issue. It allows young people to discover what has been happening in the world.
Location: At the CAPAY Office every Sat. during the months of Sep., Oct., & Dec.
The Participants
Everyone can, and is encouraged to, attend the AASW. Come to the CAPAY office on Sat. in the second floor of the Wheatley Building at Umass Boston.

This year, Giles Li, the YouthLearn Coordinator, helped to conduct the Asian American Studies Workshop. Members of the YouthLearn were required to attend as many of these workshops as possible. Again, everyone is definitely welcomed.
