Super Butoden 1
The first of the Butoden series. This game is no where near the standards of later games like Hyper Dimension. It uses a split screen method fo when the characters are far apart, and the sky and the ground are treated like like two different stages. The special moves are treated to cut scenes which does look quite effective.

Super Butoden 2
The second of the Butoden series. This game is the best of all three butodens and it did make some improvements upon its predessor, but is pretty much the same. Again it uses the split screen method and cut scenes for specials.

Super Butoden 3
The third and final game of the Butoden series. This game is still lacking when compared to games like Hyper Dimension. But again it is very similar. It would be the best game, but in my opinion it is lacking the story mode of Super Butoden 2.

The Legend of The Super Saiyan
In my opinion this is the best DBZ game that there is. It has quite a length to it. All the characters from the Saiyan to Freeza saga are there and the battles are turn based and incredibally well done. Its only weakness are the mass amounts of battles you have to face when going from place to place, but aside from that it is a remakable game.

Hyper Dimension
The best DBZ fighting game bar none! This game is even better than the later Playstation games like Final Bout and Ultimate Battle 22. It has a great story mode, going from Piccolo's fight with Freeza, right to the end of DBZ. Even then there's a few bonus matches like Gohan vs. Gotenks. It has a versus mode, aswell as a training and tournament mode, simulating the Tenkaichi Budokai.

Super Gokuden 1
This is the first game in the Gokuden series. It starts right at the begining of Dragonball and goes until the end of the Piccolo Diamao Saga. It is an RPG first of all, but does have many battles in it. You also have to complete events from the story, like finding the stone at Kame-Sennin's.

Super Gokuden 2
This game completes the Gokuden series. It starts with the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, and the fight with Piccolo and goes until the end of the Freeza Saga. It is an RPG first of all, but does have many battles in it. The battle are somewhat different to Super Gokuden 1, as they are based on a "Rock, Paper, Scissors" format. Let me explain: say if someone fires a Ki blast the a punch or kick will beat it, but a counter will beat a punch or kick, and so on. In this game the story alternates between Goku and Gohan as the character you control, much like in Legend of the Super Saiyan. This makes sure the game does not grow stale to quickly
