In a time where the Hip-Hop culture is dominated with loads of sex, money, and ungodly commercial tactics to lure listeners to a different world of music... five talented young adults have joined together to encourage the culture to go back to its roots... GOD.

Originated in late 1997 and early 1998, M.A.Y.D by GOD started off with its original members: Miko Sy, Amador Ibardaloza, Yvette and Dexter Malicay. The group changed names from "Three Boys and a Girl" and "D.A.Y.M" but due to many... hours... of searching for a name to be respected with, the group finally came up with its current name. Years later the group was blessed with a fifth member, a brother from Miami, Florida - Ramon Nevarez. With the fifth member in place, the group was able to fully balance itself to form an ultimate weapon in the Hip-Hop world.

The main purpose for the group is to create a new sound, a whole different sound than what's out there right now. There are so many artists who use their talent to lead others to ungodly ways. Well, M.A.Y.D. by GOD has one motivation, to lead others to GOD. With explosive lyrics and fresh beats, these five artists dedicate every word and song to the one who created those words and to the one who gave them the talent to rap.

M.A.Y.D. by GOD has been seen at many CFC-Youth For Christ functions such as numerous youth camps, the B.O.M.B. Party, the YFC Prom 2000, the F.A.C.T. Conference in Urbana, Illinois, Showcase 2001, and many solo or duo acts such as the YFC New Jersey Conference 1998, and at the U of I Fashion Show 2001.

As long as there are people willing to hear a different sound of Hip-Hop, theres nothing that can stop these five emcees. M.A.Y.D. by GOD the Lyrical Worshippers will always be ready to provide...phatt sounds. No doubt! (Stepping Stone) Next story
