Everton 1-0 West Brom

West Brom got the game underway. Everton began attacking the Park End.

In the opening minute West Broms, Scott Dobie tested Richard Wright, but the England international was equal to the save.

The toffess soon began to control the game, David Unsworth's effort was deflected and ended up in the arms of Russel Hoult. The Blues looked dangerous going forward and were causing havic in the West Brom defence.

Everton were all over West Brom, Everton won their first corner of the game which was whipped in from the left hand side and fell to Lee Carsley, who shoots straight at Hoult.

West Brom didn't know what hit them... much like other teams who had visited Goodison Park this season, Alan Stubbs' goalbound header from a Thomas Gravesen corner was blocked on the line by teammate Kevin Campbell!!!.

As usuall, Tomasz Radzinski was a constant threat, on 16 minutes, his effort from 25 yards forced a good save from Russell Hoult.

During the first 20 minutes, Everton had most of the possession and looked by far the better team.

Just after 30 minutes, West Brom enjoyed a little spell of pressure, but the In-form Everton defence were resolute and limited the Baggies attack to only a few half chances.

Everton regained the ascendancy once again and were unlucky not take the lead when David Unsworth headed just wide from 12 yards after brilliant work by Thomas Gravesen.

35 Minutes in, and Everton score a wonderful goal!. A precise ball from Li Tie finds Tomasz Radzinski who blasted a shot past a helpless Russell Hoult.

Everton wanted more than one goal... Lee Carsley's cross-come-shot! almost evaded Hoult, but the West Brom keeper catched the ball well, to keep West Brom slightly into the game.

Everton got the second half underway, Jason Roberts had a golden opportunity to give West Brom the equaliser, but in a one-on-one situation with Richard Wright, he fluffed the chance.

Full of confidence, Li Tie hit a shot straight at Russell Hoult followed seconds later by a Thomas Gravesen effort which went narrowly wide.

Kevin Campbell had a glorious opportunity to put Everton 2-0 up!, but he sliped at the crucial moment, much to the disbelief of the Everton fans.

West Broms Sean Gregan almost put the ball past his own keeper, but Russell Hoult somehow managed to claim.

Tomasz Radzinski forced a stunning save from Russell Hoult!, who was having a great game!.

Towards the closing stages of the game... there were a couple of bookings, all Li Tie, Clement and Koumas were booked.

Everton are now third in the Premiership, our highest at this stage of the season since 1984-5…when we won the league!.
