Pistone is one of the most naturally gifted players in the Everton team today.

The versatile Defender was given a leash on life in the Premiership by Newcastle, before being drafted in by ex-Everton manager Walter Smith.

A clinical crosser of the ball and technically superior to most players, Pistone quickly showed his value to the Everton set-up.

However, Pistone has suffered his fair share of injuries in his career, following a severely broken leg at Newcastle. He has since been plagued with ligament trouble at Everton, which has kept him out at various times.

Everton fans hope that Pistone can put behind him the torments of these problems and help the Blues onto better things this season.
