Mark Pembridge is a terrier-like midfield player who joined the club from Portuguese giants Benfica for £800,000 in August 1999.

He is a very experienced player who began his career with Luton Town before moving on to Derby County and later Sheffield Wednesday.

Many fans will tell you that he is not the most gifted player in the Everton side but this is more than compensated by the fact he never seems to give up.
