Physiology: Deleebans are a sentient arthropod like race which possess six limbs. The lower two of these are always used for walking upon, while the upper two are used in manners simalar to that of other races for grabbing and manipulating objects. The middle two limbs can also be used in the same way, though Deleebans have the option of stooping forward to run on these two as legs if necessary.

Deleebans, do not possess a back bone, or indeed any bones in their body. Instead, they are surrounded by a cartilidge like exo-skeleton. This is a fairly hard shell which has joints within it to allow the Deleeban to move. Their blood is black in colour and bathes their internal organs rather than running through viens as in vertebrae like sentient species.

Deleeban have multi-facetous eyes that give them nearly all round vision and protray the world as hundreds of images at once. Deleebans also have very keen hearing and speak with a high pitch voice. Natural Deleeban languages are difficult for other races to understand as some words are pronounced at a higher pitch to what other races can understand.

Deleebans do not have a brain like other races do. Instead, they have a very complex nervous system that runs throughout their entire bodies that collectively gives them thought processes. It is this nervous system that gives them sentience. The Deleeban nervous system is highly advanced and it enables Deleebans to split their concentration across several tasks at once. A Deleeban could be reading a book in one hand, watching a television at the same time while programming a computer. They would do all this with the same amount of concentration on each task as a Human would apply if they focused in on just one task.

Deleebans have a very skinny appearance, much slimmer than that of Humans or even Elayans. Their limbs seem long and spinderly while their exo-skeleton is coloured black. Deleebans stand about 5'8" to 6'8" tall, though the female tends to be larger.

Deleeban females will only lay eggs about three or four times in their whole lifes. There is a strong protective instinct once these have been laid however and they will only allow the mate of their choice to fertilise them, fending off all others from touching them. A Deleeban clutch usually comprises of around 20-50 eggs, each one only a centimetre in diameter. These have to be fertilised within a week of being laid otherwise the eggs die and become useless. Deleeban eggs must be laid in special enzymic pools (often imported from the Deleeban homeworld though they can now be artifically created) in order to develop.

Once fertilised, the eggs take some two sols to grow before hatching and during this time, the female Deleeban still feel's a strong protective instinct over them. Only about 25% of these eggs though will actually hatch once they reach the size of of around half a metre each. The newly hatched Deleebans can walk from birth but take around 40-48 sols to mature.

Deleebans live about 240 sols naturally, though some have been recorded reaching 320 sols. A highly intelligent species, their multi-tasking ability can sometimes unnerve many other races upon meeting them.

History: Deleebans are one of the eldest races within the C69 cluster. They were one of only two races to have discovered FTL travel before the colonisation of Humans and Elayans in the early 80'000's. Already, the Deleebans had colonised several worlds in their nearby neighbour hood of space and had discovered and refrained from contact with several otehr primative races. When the Humans and Elayans came however, they found them to be a curious race and finally a race developed enough to be able to actually interact with. When the newly established Requis colonies started experiencing troubles, it was the Deleeban's who helped them out. In return, the Requisian's shared with the Deleebans the knowledge of wormhole technology and from their the friendship grew until the sol of 81'003 SC when the Deleebans and Requisian's merged together properly to form the nation of Requis.

Deleeban within the Nations:

Requis: Deleebans here enjoy all the finer benefits in life that Requis have to offer. The artistic and creational aspects of Requis really do appeal to them and they assist Requis in adding their own perceptions on it all.

Neutrality Alliance: Before the colonisation of C69, a small group of Deleebans decided to form a coloney far from the original homeworld as an outpost to further exploration. They choose to settle in the star systems of Betis, Halo and Encas but were unfortunately forgotton and considered lost. However, these three star systems continued to prosper far from the rest of their main race, developing a unique culture of their own. As the rest of their people declared themselves a part of Requis, the Deleebans of this outpost were left out by circumstances more than any other reason. Instead, they continued to grow as an independant coloney until the formation of the Neutrality Alliance. Upon intense negotiations, the Deleebans were the first to sign onto the new Neutrality Alliance and the three star systems became known as the Realm of Deleeban. To this day, the Deleebans are one of the strongest voices in the Neutrality Alliance.

Independant Star Systems: The Realm of Deleeban was not the only coloney the Deleebans had set up. There are numerous colonies (and evidence of old abandoned ones as well) that are declared independant all across the cluster. Each one has developed in a different manner to the next and is as varied as any races culture.

Deleeban Crossbreeds:

Deliak: (Deleeban - Atiliak) Though on the other side of the galaxy to each other, this occurance has been documented. Deliak usually look like a cross between the two races, though they either have the deleeban six limbs, or four limbs and the charge spines of the Atiliak. Some unusual Deliak actually have the six limbs though, but the middle two limbs can gain electrical charge like an Atiliak's charge spines.
