Ty Carl Buffington December 17th and Future Updates

This was a pretty big week for Ty. They are trying him on a high flow cannula again. So far he is doing pretty good.

Over the past couple of weeks his breathing really didn't improve much, so they started him on another round of steroids. They are trying to get the inflamation in his lungs down so that he can pull more of the oxygen out of the air that he is breathing. The steroids made a pretty big difference.

Since he was getting a boost from the steroids, they decided to try him on the cannula again. Last time he wasn't ready and only lasted about an hour. This time he's gone more than a day and has been doing really good! If he can stay on the cannula his nose will feel so much better! Also it will be a lot easier for us to pick him up and hold him!!

Today is day 165 in the NICU for Ty. So I thought it would be a good time to review his progress! He's worked so hard and has made so many improvements!! He has really been a miracle baby!! God has some special plans for Ty and we're so blessed that God has included us in His plans. Please see the pictures below and you can really see how much he has grown!!
