Ty has been doing much better this week! He caught a little pneumonia bug last week and has been on a 10 day course of antibiotics. He has been getting stronger every day and has been acting alot more like himself.
He is still a little weak, but is getting back on track. His breathing has been improving and we hope to start working on his home ventilator sometime this next week. They'll start with 1 hour trials on the home ventilator and work up from there. Hopefully in about a month he will be on the home vent full time. After that we'll be about a month or so from coming home.
We hope that we can come home around his first birthday in July, but it could be later. Ty is the boss and we'll come home when he's ready to come home. We've learned that he doesn't like to be pushed faster than he is ready. The doctors are really good to him and we all have to be patient.
This week he enjoyed the company of Jim and Sue Wesselman, or as he knows them "Uncle and Aunt Wesselman."
Please keep him in your prayers. We have been fighting what seems like an endless battle with keeping him healthy. Thank you for your prayers and support!!
