This last week has been really hard for us and Ty. Early in the week his oxygen requirements started going up. The doctors did lots of tests but really couldn't figure out why his requirements were going up. They think that he may have caught a little cold. Unfortunately there's not alot that they can do to cure a cold. They made some adjustments on his CPAP and with some of his medicines to help him breathe better.
For us, having a cold isn't really that bad of a thing, but for a little baby it is devistating. This really has been so hard for him to get through. Since his immune system is still not very strong, this cold has had a really big impact on his breathing. The poor little guy has just struggled to get better.
He is such a strong baby and has been working so hard! Since his breathing is the thing that they are working on the most, it's really important that nothing get in the way of his progress. Getting a cold is the last thing that he needs! This will set us back a little while, but we'll get through this. It makes you wish that we had a cure for the common cold.
For us this has been really hard. We want to take him home so bad and he was doing so good. For us, this little set back is very difficult to take. We've been here so long and we just want to go home.
Please pray for him that he will get over this cold and get back on track. We'll get home, but this has added a little more time to our stay. Thank you so much for your prayers!
