While getting new tires, Homer runs into a former acquaintance, Wally Kogen. Sitting in Moe's together, they see a program on TV about the upcoming Super Bowl. Wally proposes that he and Homer put together a Super Bowl trip. Excited, Homer gathers up a bunch of friends, and they rent a bus to travel to the game. Meanwhile, Marge and Lisa, looking for something to do, decide to pass the time with "Vincent Price's Egg Magic," one of many craft kits they have received from Patty over the years. Contrary to the packaging, they discover the feet are not included, and Marge calls the company only to get an answering machine message recorded by Vincent Price himself. At the game, Homer and Wally discover that their tickets are counterfeit. Homer tries to sneak his group into the game, only to get them all thrown into a jail cell in the stadium. Wally sees Dolly Parton walk by the cell, on her way to the half-time show. Having known Dolly for years, Wally has her break them out of the cell. Trying to find some seats, the group stumbles upon a luxury skybox with an elegant buffet. As they gorge themselves on the food, the luxury box's rightful occupant, Rupert Murdoch, arrives. He commands his guards to seize the group. As they run, they spy an entrance to the field. Determined to catch the end of the game, they go for it. Jusat as they're about to step onto the field, they're swept in by the winning team. Homer's group winds up in the team's locker room and celebrates with them. They each receive Super Bowl rings, and Homer takes the Lombardi Trophy. Sportscasters John Madden and Pat Summerall comment on the plot developments, and then board a bus driven by Vincent Price. |
