After Moe tells the guys at the bar that they need to have a designated driver, Barney loses the draw and has to spend the night sober. Although he makes it through the night without a drink, he takes off with Homer's car and disappears for two months. After Barney returns without the vehicle, Homer gives up on ever finding it. He receives a letter from the City of New York, informing him that his car is illegally parked. Marge, Lisa and Bart are excited to go, but Homer, who had a bad experience in New York as a young man, would rather stay home. Upon arriving in New York, Homer and the rest of the family split up, agreeing to meet in Central Park at the end of the day. Homer discovers that his car is parked between the two towers of the World Trade Center. While he waits for the parking officer to remove the boot on his car, Marge and the kids see the sights of Manhattan. Homer misses the parking officer when he runs to the bathroom and drives away with the boot still on his car. Homer reunites with the family in Central Park, ushers them into the car, and speeds away from New York City. Sounds from the episode! NYC.wav |
