Game one of Skid's season at Citi. September 27th - GAME #161 vs Houston Astros (70-90)
Rafael Montero (1-3) vs Samuel Deduno (2-6). The Mets need a win to stay in the hunt for second place in the division.

78-83

This was one of those games where the Mets only got 4 hits, two in the ninth. The last hit happened to be a two run walk off homer by Lucas Duda, his 29th of the season. A dramatic win for those fans that stayed until the end on the last Saturday night of the season. One more left and it's wait until next year.

I sat down to watch this game at four o'clock, almost excited to see a September game that meant something (well, 2nd place). The wonderful new TV with MLB.tv has been acting up on my wifi network. The TV would give me a few seconds of game and then lock up/lose connection, requiring a restart. The xBox has issues too. Time to call the cable company and get a new router. So I watched an old movie with Jack Lemon & Shirley Maclaine that wasn't bad. Around 8 pm I checked the Mets website as I did not want to invest another 3 hour time period to watch Mets baseball. I love walk off wins, especially when watching the whole game and rooting seriously. I just watched the homer highlite and went to update this page. Not hard to tell that the end of the season is near.

METS tied with Atlanta 78-83 for 2nd place.
