Bartolo Colon won his 14th game, giving up 12 hits and one run in 7.2 innings. There was some offense! Nine runs scored including 6 RBI's from Wilmer Flores, who homered twice. Only one more win to tie the win total for the Mets the last two years. Shouldn't be a problem (other than playing Washington 3 more games) and more than 74 wins would be a sign of some improvement in 2014.
Nice to see the Mets break out in a game finally, it had been a while. Sat at home watching under the air conditioning, another warm day. The game kept "losing" connection and would need to be restarted. It was much more than usual and became very frustrating. But I got the game in.
