JANUARY 19th, 2007

Frankie lost his first tooth! The Tooth Fairy was here and left a yuan but he didn't seem too phased. I think I was more excited to share this milestone than him!

This morning we stayed close to the hotel. Our guide went to get the translated adoption papers for the United States Consulate. She brought them to us at lunch time. We ate at a very nice restaurant; MUCH better then the seedy place we were at last night....(Penny, Auntie and I didn't eat anything. Frankie ate 5 bowls of rice, LOTS of pork and chicken and at least 25 dumplings. I kid you not!)

After lunch, we ventured back to Wal-Mart for some Chinese cartoons and watches for both boys. By the way....you haven't lived unless you have seen the Wal-Mart chant in Chinese. Frankie picked out a Mickey Mouse watch and he loves it. It is a little too big for his wrist, but it was the smallest one that we could find.

Afterwards, we played catch with the ball and glove that Auntie MJ gave him.

The glove is velcro so it was a pretty successful venture. He went from 0 to 80, got wild with the ball and had to have another time out. He understands the concept perfectly, now!

Our guide returned with the boys' passports right before dinner. That was the last official piece of the puzzle in Shenyang! So it is off to Guangzhou in the morning!

I'll close by saying that Frankie loves taking a bath. He jumped in the tub as soon as we came from dinner. He then brushed his teeth (He likes to wretch while he does this, which makes him laugh - ALL boy!) After, he put some chapstick on in front of the mirror and then smeared his lips all along the glass, laughing hysterically the whole time. If I look at him sternly he says "I wowe wou, Mama" repeatedly. He finished up by looking at the pictures that I brought and reading a book. I really need a massage!
