JANUARY 15th, 2007
GOTCHA DAY!

We set off early this morning. The flight went very smoothly. No sooner had we landed then we dropped our bags at the hotel and headed off to meet the kids.

I recognized Frankie immediately. He called me Mama and came right to me. LOTS of hugs and kisses! My heart melted when I saw him. He is just adorable! He was accompanied by his "teacher" and the director of medicine at his orphanage. They both seemed nice, but didn't speak any English, so communication was tough.

Frankie's palette WAS repaired, but has reopened slightly. Believe me, that doesn't stop him at all!

He LOVES the pictures that I brought with me. He is trying very hard to pronounce the words that I tell him. He also loved the Vito stuffed animal and he loves to find Vito in the pictures.

Leaving his teacher was tough, but we survived it. By the time we reached the hotel, Frankie was jumping around trying to make us laugh!

After dinner we made a run to Wal-Mart. My son, without any guidance from me, picked out Donald Duck pants and Mickey Mouse sneakers!

Well, we are off for a bath and bed!
