Rich brought me to the Syracuse airport at 4:00am. I arrived at JFK long before anything even opened up. I was misdirected several times trying to get to air bus to the Air China terminal - the third time was the charm as a very nice security guard took pity on me and helped me with my bags and my direction!

My Auntie Charlotte arrived at 10:30am and it was great to finally see her. We waited about an hour before Air China opened and we could get rid of our luggage. We were finally able to board the plane at 3:00pm

Our flight was fairly smooth. We kept an hourly countdown which made the trip go a bit faster. A guide met us at the airport and we connected with our group for dinner. Our official Beijing Guide, Tom, met us then, too, and gave us the low-down for what is in store for tomorrow.

We are very tired and are headed to bed, but we miss you all!
