East Jessamine coach Matthew Chewning started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Turner Shouse, 6-0 Jr. Isaiah Daniel, 6-3 Sr. Brycen Hubbard, 5-8 Jr. Hayden Frazier, and 5-8 Fr. Myles Radford. Madison Southern coach Austin Newton countered with 6-3 So. Jay Rose, 6-2 Sr. Blake Simpson, 6-5 Sr. Nate Turner, 5-8 Fr. Casen Nobbe, and 6-0 So. Braden Hudson.
Madison Southern raced out to a 26-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-46 victory over East Jessamine. Madison Southern shot 50% from the field including 10 of 26 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 34.7% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Madison Southern turnovers.
Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Nate Turner added 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals. 6-5 Jr. Brett Erslan recorded 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Braden Hudson chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and eight assists.
Turner Shouse led East Jessamine with 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals. 5-6 Fr. Miyo Jones added eight points including two three point baskets. Brycen Hubbard pulled down eight rebounds.
