Reagan Bender.  Rock Bridge coach Jill Nagel countered with 5-11 Sr. Averi Kroenke, 5-10 Fr. Mari Miller, 6-4 Sr. Kyrah Brodie, 5-9 Jr. Maggie Primus, and 5-9 Sr. Christina Maltsberger.

 

Rock Bridge (MO) defeated Sacred Heart Academy by the score of 40-36 dealing the Valkyries their first defeat of the year.  There were five lead changes and six ties in this game.  Rock Bridge shot 30.8% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 26.3% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on three of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off 18 Rock Bridge turnovers.

 

Averi Kroenke led Rock Bridge with 19 points including eight of eight free throws, 15 rebounds, and three steals.  Mari Miller added 13 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and one steal.  Kyrah Brodie recorded three points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.

 

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Triniti Ralston added nine points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and four assists.  Josie Gilvin recorded eight points, three rebounds, three blocked shots, and four steals.

Henry Clay defeated Madison Southern by the score of 70-55.  The score was tied three times and there were four lead changes in the game.  Henry Clay shot 39.6% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 23 of 27 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 44.2% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

West Jessamine rallied in the second half to defeat Frankfort by the score of 77-68.  West Jessamine shot 62.7% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off seven Frankfort turnovers.  Frankfort shot 42.9% from the field including 10 of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight West Jessamine turnovers.

 

Gavin Salva led West Jessamine with 18 points and seven rebounds.  Salva was nine of 11 from the field.  Daniel Waters added 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Drew Marshall recorded 15 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.  Brett Bush chipped in with 14 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.  6-3 Jr. Braden Welch added eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Hogan Price recorded six points including four of four from the free throw line and eight assists.

Madison Southern defeated LaRue County by the score of 68-57.  Madison Southern shot 56.8% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 18 LaRue County turnovers.  LaRue County shot 42.2% from the field including eight of 29 from beyond the arc.  The Hawks connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

6-5 Jr. Brett Erslan led Madison Southern with 18 points and four rebounds.  Erslan was eight of nine from the field and two of four from the free throw line.  Jay Rose added 18 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists.  Blake Simpson recorded nine points and six rebounds.  Braden Hudson chipped in with eight points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

 

Carson Childress led LaRue County with 20 points including five three point baskets and five rebounds.  Cutter Boley added 20 points including seven of 10 free throws.  Jaxson Thomas recorded four points, six rebounds, and five assists.
