Shelby Valley coach Lonnie Rowe started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Zoee Johnson, 5-8 Jr. Kyra Looney, 5-10 Sr. Alyssa Elswick, 5-6 Sr. Cassidy Rowe, and 5-6 So. Jazzy Meade.  Lexington Catholic coach Lee Tegt countered with 5-10 Jr. Katherine Truitt, 5-8 Fr. Abby Hammond, 5-9 So. Lydia Kennedy, 5-7 Jr. Lucy Nash, and 5-7 Sr. Hannah Carlisle.

 

Shelby Valley outscored Lexington Catholic 19-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 63-58 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game.  Shelby Valley shot 47.1% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Kats connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 11 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington catholic shot 34.5% from the field including three of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Shelby Valley turnovers.

 

Alyssa Elswick led Shelby Valley with 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists.  Zoee Johnson added 12 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Kyra Looney recorded 12 points on four three point baskets, seven rebounds, and five assists.  5-3 8th Grade Kylie Alvin chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Cassidy Rowe recorded nine points, nine rebounds, six assists, four blocked shots, and two steals.

 

Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 27 points including nine of 10 free throws, 14 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Lydia Kennedy added eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.  Abby Hammond recorded eight points, two rebounds, and two steals.

George Rogers Clark pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Mercy Academy by the score of 77-59.  GRC shot 48.3% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 36.2% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven GRC turnovers.

 

Brianna Byars led GRC with 30 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Ciara Byars added 18 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, eight rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals.  Trinity Gay recorded nine points, four assists, and two steals. 

 

Alyssa Murphy led Mercy Academy with 16 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Emma Barnett added 15 points including three three point baskets and 12 rebounds.  Leah Macy recorded 14 points including four of five free throws, and 13 rebounds.  Mary Smith chipped in with eight points including four of four free throws and six assists.

Southwestern rallied in the final quarter for a 46-40 come-from-behind victory over Cooper to advance to the championship game.  Southwestern shot 37.8% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Warriors connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Cooper turnovers.  Cooper shot 31.6% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 15 of 15 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Southwestern turnovers.

 

Kinsey Molden led Southwestern with 18 points including two three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, two rebounds, and two steals.  Payton Acey added 15 points including four of four free throws, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Ayden Smiddy recorded eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Mercy Academy defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 75-49.  Mercy shot 46.7% from the field including 16 of 32 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 34.6% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Mercy turnovers.

 

Alyssa Murphy led Mercy with 19 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Mary Smith added 14 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Emma Barnett recorded 14 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals.  Leah Macy recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

Amber Brandon led Dunbar with 27 points including three three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  Quinn Arnold added nine points and three rebounds.  Aziah Campbell recorded five points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals
