East Jessamine coach Chris O’Bryan started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Mike Jones, 6-0 Sr. Taylor Harper, 6-2 Sr. Timmy Bradshaw, 5-10 So. Spencer Maddon, and 5-8 So. Hayden Smith. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-3 Jr. Tanner Richards, 6-2 Jr. Ian Kossick, 6-4 Sr. Chase Fain, 6-0 Jr. Will Henderson, and 6-3 Jr. Daulton Peters.
West Jessamine jumped out to a 26-9 first quarter lead in this cross town rivalry and was never threatened in a 98-61 victory over East Jessamine. West Jessamine shot 63.3% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line. The Colts connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 18 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 35.8% from the field including five of 26 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 west Jessamine turnovers.
Chase Fain led West Jessamine with 28 points including four three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Daulton Peters added 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists. 6-2 Sr. Robby Irgang chipped in with 16 points and seven rebounds. Tanner Richards added 12 points. Will Henderson recorded eight points and eight assists.
Timmy Bradshaw led East Jessamine with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Jones added 11 points.
