Campbell County coach Aric Russell started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Cole Hegyl, 6-0 Jr. Garren Bertsch, 6-8 Sr. Matt Wilson, 5-10 So. Tanner Clos, and 5-11 Sr. Trent McGovney.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup, 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-10 Jr. Jajuante Carpenter.

 

Lafayette defeated Campbell County by a score of 84-67.  Lafayette shot 49.2% from the field including 11 of 25 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 22 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 48.8% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Camels connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Lafayette turnovers.

 

Harrison Lane led Lafayette with 25 points including six three point baskets.  Ross Jenkins added 14 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  5-10 So. Eric Powell recorded 14 points including three three point baskets.

 

Garren Bertsch led Campbell County with 22 points including three three point baskets.  Matt Wilson added 18 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Trent McGovney recorded 14 points including three three point baskets.

Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson Jr. started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Tim Dunn, 6-1 So. Terrance Murphy, 6-3 Jr. Braeden Warren, 5-7 Sr. Rafael Few, and 6-0 So. Alex Pickett.  Frankfort coach Nick Barton countered with 6-4 Sr. Anthony Robinson, 6-2 Sr. Kane Youman, 6-4 Sr. Malik Frank, 6-0 So. Cody Carter, and 6-1 Sr. DeShawn Newton.

 

Frankfort captured a 69-65 overtime victory over Bryan Station.  There were nine lead changes and seven ties in this game.  Frankfort shot 36.7% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on 26 of 39 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 45.3% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Frankfort turnovers. 

 

Malik Frank led Frankfort with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Anthony Robinson added 15 points and 12 rebounds.  DeShawn Newton recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Cody Carter chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets.

 

Tim Dunn led Bryan Station with 28 points and eight rebounds.  Terrance Murphy added 12 points.  Rafael Few chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.

Madison Central erased an eight point deficit in the third quarter to notch a 55-52 come-from-behind victory over Clay County.  Mallie Cornett scored an old fashioned three point play in the closing minute to give Madison Central the lead.  Madison Central shot 41.8% from the field including one of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on eight of 10 free throws and pulled down 31 rebounds.  Clay County shot 35.8% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on seven of eight free throws and pulled down 33 rebounds.

 

5-4 So. Bailee Vanover led Madison Central with 18 points.  5-10 Jr. Lindsey Johns added 10 points.  6-0 Jr. Mallie Cornett recorded eight points and seven blocked shots.  5-10 Jr. Charity Mack chipped in with seven points and six rebounds and 5-4 Sr. Emily Willoughby also scored seven points.

 

5-9 8th Grade  Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 25 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  5-10 Sr. Kelli Roberts added 18 points including four three point baskets and 13 rebounds.

Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-8 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Sr. Aisha Conwell, 5-6 So. Terri Abram, and 5-8 8th Grade Shelbi Wilson.  Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings countered with 5-10 Jr. Kirstie Henn, 5-7 So. Kathleen Scott, 5-4 Jr. Alyssa Peak, and 5-4 Jr. Lauren Masden.

 

Lafayette led 36-35 after three quarters but Bullitt East outscored the Lady Generals 28-9 in the final quarter to earn a 63-45 victory.  The score was tied seven times and there were nine lead changes in the game.  Bullitt East shot 44.4% from the field including one of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Chargers connected on 22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 38.5% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Bullitt East turnovers.

 

Raegan Williams led Bullitt East 19 points and 11 rebounds.  Alyssa Peak added 14 points and three assists.  Kirstie Henn chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Lauren Masden recorded nine points.

 

Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 22 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Terri Abram added eight points and five assists.

5-10 Sr. Kaylee Cotton led McCreary Central with 38 points including three three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, and pulled down 11 rebounds.  5-7 8th Grade Allyson Anderson pulled down seven points and 5-10 Jr. Brooke Sluder pulled down 12 rebounds.

 

5-3 Sr. Erica Gambrell led Middlesboro with 15 points and nine rebounds.  5-3 Sr. Bailey Hensley and 5-10 Sr. Lauren Spurlock each scored 12 points.

Somerset defeated McCreary Central tonight by a score of 55-49.  Somerset shot 30.7% from the field including three of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Briar Jumpers connected on 14 of 23 free throws and pulled down 36 rebounds.  McCreary Central shot 41.5% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on 13 of 22 free throws and pulled down 31 rebounds.

 

5-9 Jr. Kaitlyn Johnson led Somerset with 21 points and 17 rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Brynlee Bigelow added 18 points and 12 rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Emily Vaught chipped in with 10 points.

 

5-10 Sr. Kaylee Cotton led McCreary Central with 32 points including nine of 10 free throws and pulled down 18 rebounds.  5-7 8th Grade Allyson Anderson added ten points and 5-10 Jr. Brooke Sluder chipped in with five points.

McCreary Central defeated Williamsburg by a score of 80-63.  McCreary Central shot 48% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on 24 of 38 free throws and pulled down 34 rebounds.  Williamsburg shot 46.3% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jackets connected on seven of 23 free throws, and pulled down 37 rebounds.

 

5-10 Sr. Kaylee Cotton led McCreary Central with 37 points and 10 rebounds.  5-7 8th Grade Allyson Anderson added 29 points including three three point baskets and eight of eight free throws.  5-10 Jr. Brooke Sluder recorded seven points and 12 rebounds.

 

5-8 So. Kayla Gibson led Williamsburg with 18 points.  5-6 8th Grade Madison Chapman added 11 points.  5-4 8th Grade Lillie Hall recorded 10 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.  5-11 So. Madison Centers also scored 10 points.  6-2 Jr. Sydney Tye chipped in with six points and 13 rebounds.

McCreary Central defeated Cumberland County by a score of 58-56.  McCreary County shot 36.4% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on 13 of 29 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.  Cumberland County shot 37.1% from the field including three of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Panthers connected on seven of 20 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.

 

McCreary Central was led tonight by the duo of Kaylee Cotton and Allyson Anderson.  5-10 Sr. Kaylee Cotton is rounding into shape after being sidelined the first month of the season with a knee injury.  Cotton scored 25 points including three three three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds.  5-7 8th Grader Allyson Anderson who has led the offense in Cotton’s absence scored 24 points.  5-9 Sr. Cyndol Kiser also pulled down eight rebounds.

 

5-6 Jr. Ande Flatt led Cumberland County with 12 points and 13 rebounds.  5-4 Sr. Keylee Stalcup added 10 points and nine rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Katlyn Stalcup recorded 10 points and 6-0 Sr. Brooklyn Wright chipped in with nine points.

Owen County defeated Forest Park by a score of 72-55.  Owen County shot 65.9% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Rebels connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off seven Forest Park turnovers.  Forest Park shot 34.7% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Rangers connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Owen County turnovers.

 

Vince Toftness led Owen County with 23 points and four assists.  Carson Williams added 14 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and six blocked shots.  Chad McDonald also scored 14 points.  6-4 Jr. Cameron McAnally chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.

 

David Lusk led Forest Park with 20 points including two three point baskets.  Sam Englert added 13 points and five rebounds.  Ben Wendhoit chipped in with nine points and four rebounds.

Rondale Moore, and 5-11 Sr. Josh Jefferson.  Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-4 Sr. Darius Williams, 6-3 Jr. Taveion Hollingsworth, 6-6 Jr. Dontell Brown, 5-9 Sr. Jordan Brown, and 6-0 Sr. Jordan Lewis.

 

New Albany pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 55-47.  The score was tied four times and there four lead changes in the game.  New Albany shot 42.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 36.7% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 New Albany turnovers.

 

Romeo Langford led New Albany with 24 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Josh Jefferson added 14 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Isaac Hibbard recorded 12 points and four assists.  Michael Maxwell also pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 14 points and six rebounds.  Darius Williams added 11 points.  Jordan Lewis recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Dontell Brown chipped in with eight points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.
