Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-8 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Sr. Aisha Conwell, 5-6 So. Terri Abram, and 5-8 8th Grade Shelbi Wilson. Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings countered with 5-10 Jr. Kirstie Henn, 5-7 So. Kathleen Scott, 5-4 Jr. Alyssa Peak, and 5-4 Jr. Lauren Masden.
Lafayette led 36-35 after three quarters but Bullitt East outscored the Lady Generals 28-9 in the final quarter to earn a 63-45 victory. The score was tied seven times and there were nine lead changes in the game. Bullitt East shot 44.4% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Lady Chargers connected on 22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 38.5% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Bullitt East turnovers.
Raegan Williams led Bullitt East 19 points and 11 rebounds. Alyssa Peak added 14 points and three assists. Kirstie Henn chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Lauren Masden recorded nine points.
Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 22 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots. Terri Abram added eight points and five assists.
