Campbell County vs. Lafayette (Boys)

Campbell County coach Aric Russell started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Cole Hegyl, 6-0 Jr. Garren Bertsch, 6-8 Sr. Matt Wilson, 5-10 So. Tanner Clos, and 5-11 Sr. Trent McGovney.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup, 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-10 Jr. Jajuante Carpenter.

 

Lafayette defeated Campbell County by a score of 84-67.  Lafayette shot 49.2% from the field including 11 of 25 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 22 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 48.8% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Camels connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Lafayette turnovers.

 

Harrison Lane led Lafayette with 25 points including six three point baskets.  Ross Jenkins added 14 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  5-10 So. Eric Powell recorded 14 points including three three point baskets.

 

Garren Bertsch led Campbell County with 22 points including three three point baskets.  Matt Wilson added 18 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Trent McGovney recorded 14 points including three three point baskets.
