1st Annual Adams Buick  GMC Holiday Hoopfest

Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Keelee King, 5-7 Jr. Calleigh Burdette, 6-1 Jr. Talynne Shearer, 5-3 Sr. Addison McClure, and 5-3 Jr. Karlee Smith.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Olivia Cathers, 5-10 So. Narrah Wilson, 6-1 Sr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Sr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 Jr. Gracyn Grantz.

 

Lafayette defeated Rockcastle County by the score of 51-42.  Lafayette shot 35.7% from the field including six of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 15 of 16 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Rockcastle County turnovers.  Rockcastle County shot 45.9% from the field including seven of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rockets connected on one of four free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored five points off four Lafayette turnovers.

 

Olivia Cathers led Lafayette with 14 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, and three steals.  Anaya Brown added 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and one steal.  Catherine Jacobs recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, and three steals.  Gracyn Grantz chipped in with five points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Keelee King led Rockcastle County with 13 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Addison McClure added 11 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Talynne Shearer recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Anaya Brown was named Chad Tate Shelter Insurance Player of the Game.
