Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 6-0 Fr. Zakiyah Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Josie Gilvin, 6-0 Sr. Alex Wolff, 5-8 Jr. Triniti Ralston, and 5-10 So. Reagan Bender.  Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings countered with 5-10 So. Anna Rodgers, 5-9 So. Jada Hughes, 6-6 Sr. Gracie Merkle, 5-8 Sr. Emma Egan, and 5-8 Jr. Lilly Reid.

 

Sacred Heart Academy defeated Bullitt East by the score of 69-59.  Sacred Heart shot 40.4% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and committed six turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 40% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.

 

Zakiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 18 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Reagan Bender added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals.  6-3 So. Angelina Pelayo recorded 11 points and three rebounds.  Alex Wolff and 5-9 Sr. Olivia Kaufman chipped in with nine and eight points respectively.  Triniti Ralston added seven points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  Josie Gilvin recorded four points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

 

Gracie Merkle led Bullitt East with 28 points and 17 rebounds.  Merkle was 12 of 15 from the field and four of eight from the free throw line.  Emma Egan added 11 points and six rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Logan Ortega recorded seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.
