Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Jack Ackerman, 6-0 Sr. Logan Taylor, 6-6 Sr. Abe Nelson, 5-11 Jr. Jayd Huynh, and 6-0 Sr. Javon Adams.  Tates Creek coach Jarrod Gay countered with 6-0 Jr. Eric Hackett, 6-0 Jr. Jacobi Commodore, 6-0 Sr. Camdyn Combs, 5-9 Sr. Dekevien Duong, and 6-0 Sr. Mattox Hadley.

 

Tates Creek led 41-29 early in the final quarter and withstood a late Lafayette rally to earn a 48-45 victory.  Tates Creek shot 38.1% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 36.7% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on seven of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored nine points off 20 Tates Creek turnovers.

 

Eric Hackett led Tates Creek with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  5-9 Fr. Dawson Garth added 11 points including three three point baskets and two steals.  Dekevien Duong recorded six points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Camdyn Combs chipped in with three points, 13 rebounds, and two steals.

 

Abe Nelson led Lafayette with 18 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Logan Taylor added nine points including two three point baskets.  Jack Ackerman recorded eight points, nine rebounds, and four steals.  Jayd Huynh chipped in with six points, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
