Madison Central vs. Madison Southern (Boys)

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Trey Skaggs, 6-4 Sr. Will Hardin, 6-7 Sr. Robby Todd, 5-11 So. Parker Mullins, and 6-5 Jr. Jaylen Davis.  Madison Southern coach Austin Newton countered with 6-5 Sr. Nate Turner, 6-2 Sr. Blake Simpson, 6-6 Jr. Brett Erslan, 6-0  So. Braden Hudson, and 6-3 So. Jay Rose.

 

Madison Central outscored Madison Southern 24-9 in the second quarter on their way to a 70-55 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were four lead changes in the game.  Madison central shot 45.1% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 20 of 29 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 44.9% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Will Hardin led Madison Central with 21 points including three three point baskets, four of five free throws, nine rebounds, and three steals.  Robby Todd added 15 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Trey Skaggs recorded 15 points, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  6-3 Jr. Jayden West chipped in with 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Jaylen Davis added eight points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

 

Braden Hudson led Madison Southern with 19 points including five three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and five assists.  Jay Rose added 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Nate Turner recorded 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots.
