Walton-Verona coach Mike Hester started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Ethan Gutman, 6-1 So. Julian Dixon, 6-3 Sr. Cameron Christy, 5-9 Jr. Carter Krohman, and 6-1 Sr. Brant Smithers.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall countered with 6-3 Jr. Tyler Hall, 6-1 Sr. Jack Preston, 6-4 Sr. Pierce Ragland, 5-9 Jr. Eli Green, and 6-0 So. Brayden Mirus.

Walton-Verona raced out to a 31-9 in the second quarter on their way to a 74-61 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  Walton-Verona shot 44.6% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line.  The Bearcats connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 23 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 51% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 14 Walton-Verona turnovers.

Brant Smithers led Walton-Verona with 30 points including five three point baskets, five of five free throws, three rebounds, and two steals.  Cameron Christy added 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Carter Krohman recorded 10 points including three three point baskets and three assists.  5-8 So. Max Montgomery chipped in with eight points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Tyler Hall led LCA with 17 points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-1 Fr. Andersen Green added 11 points.  5-10 Fr. Hagan Preston recorded eight points, two assists, and three steals.  Jack Preston chipped in with seven points, nine rebounds, and two assists.
