Frederick Douglass started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Allison Wallace, 5-7 Fr. Niah Rhodes, 6-2 So. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington, 5-3 Fr. Katie Baker, and 5-1 Sr. Bradley Price. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-7 Jr. Tyra Young, 5-10 8th Grade Kierstin Young, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Hall, and 5-8 Ft. Maleiyah Moore.
Frederick Douglass eked out a 59-57 victory on the road tonight. Frederick Douglass shot 29.2% from the field including nine of 30 from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on 12 of 26 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 34.6% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers.
Niah Rhodes led Frederick Douglass with 16 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds. Allison Wallace added 12 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two assists. Katie Baker also scored 12 points including three three point baskets. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington recorded eight points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots.
Kenady Tompkins led Scott County with 22 points including four three point baskets, 13 rebounds, and one blocked shot. Tyra Young added 20 points including two three point baskets, and 12 rebounds.
