Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Weston Pentecost, 6-1 Sr. Jamarion Gaines, 6-7 Sr. Shemar O’Roy-Ford, 5-5 Fr. Armelo Boone, and 5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Sr. Aziel Blackwell, 6-2 Jr. Kyan Miller, 6-7 Sr. Brenden Wicker, 5-10 Jr. Konlin Brown, and 6-1 Sr. Kanye Henderson.

 

Henry Clay defeated Frederick Douglass by the score of 68-45.  Henry Clay shot 37.3% from the field including seven of 26 from the three point line.  The Blue devils connected on 17 of 29 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 22 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 32.5% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Aziel Blackwell led Henry Clay with 17 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.  Brenden Wicker added 12 points and 15 rebounds.  Konlin Brown recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Kanye Henderson chipped in with eight points including six of seven free throws, and four rebounds.  6-2 Jr. Henry Lynch added eight points and four rebounds.

 

6-7 Jr. Tyson Barrett led Frederick Douglass with 17 points including five of eight free throws and six rebounds.  Armelo Boone added 10 points and three assists.  Kai Simpson recorded seven points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Shemar O’Roy-Ford chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.
