Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 5-6 Sr. Destiny Cozart, 5-5 Jr. Carah Burdette, 5-11 So. Gracie Baczkowski, 5-4 Sr. Ezhaunnai Ighodaro, and 5-5 Jr. Jlyn Martin. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-11 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-9 Fr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-9 Sr. Aisha Conwell, 5-6 So. Terri Abram, and 5-9 So. Caroline Bennett.
Lafayette trailed 51-47 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 73-63. Bryan Station attempted 34 more shots (73-39) from the field than Lafayette but only scored two more field goals. However Lafayette held a 25-10 advantage in free throw points. There were five lead changes and three ties in the game.
Lafayette shot 56.4% from the field including four of seven from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 25 of 42 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 32.9% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Defenders connected on 10 of 20 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.
Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and six blocked shots. Terri Abram added 16 points. Caroline Bennett recorded 11 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots. 5-8 8th Grade Shelbi Wilson also scored 11 points.
Carah Burdette led Bryan Station with 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Ezhaunnai Ighodaro added 14 points, seven rebounds, and six steals. Destiny Cozart recorded 11 points and six rebounds. Jlyn Martin chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets. 5-8 Sr. Zariah Kavanaugh added six points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
