TC Price, 6-6 Jr. Peter Whitman, 5-11 Sr. Donovan Morris, and 6-4 Jr. Luke Johnson.  Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-4 Sr. Darius Williams, 6-3 Sr. Justin Kelley, 6-5 Jr. Dontell Brown, 6-0 Sr. Jordan Lewis, and 6-3 Jr. Taveion Hollingsworth.

 

Paul Laurence Dunbar trailed 38-35 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Lexington Catholic by a score of 59-54.  The score was tied 10 times and there were 11 lead changes in the game.  Dunbar shot 43.1% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 50% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar attempted 15 more shots (51-36) from the field than Lexington Catholic.

 

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 20 points and three steals.  Darius Williams added 14 points.  Jordan Lewis recorded 11 points, five assists, and four steals.  Dontell Brown chipped in with nine points and 13 rebounds.

 

Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 20 points and six assists.  Zan Payne added 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Donovan Morris chipped in with eight points and four assists.

Belmont outscored Eastern Kentucky 21-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 72-61 victory.  The score was tied six times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Belmont shot 35.5% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Belmont turnovers.

 

Kylee Smith led Belmont with 19 points, eight rebound, and three assists.  Darby Maggard added 17 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists,  Sally McCabe recorded 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky trailed 57-45 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to earn a 70-66 victory over Tennessee State.  There were five ties and two lead changes in this game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.4% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 14 Tennessee State turnovers.  Tennessee State shot 41.5% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky only led for 2:18 seconds of the game.

 

Jalen O’Bannon led Eastern Kentucky with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals.  5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray added 14 points and three steals.  5-11 Fr. Abby Wright recorded 12 points on four three point baskets and four rebounds.

5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter led six Colonels in double figures with 23 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray added 19 points and three rebounds.  Jalen O’Bannon recorded 18 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and five steals.  Mariah Massengill chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.  Miranda Maples added 12 points and six rebounds.  Alexus Cooper also reached double figures with 10 points and four assists.

 

Brianna McQueen led Morehead State with 21 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Miranda Crockett added 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Eriel McKee recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.  Natalie Greenwell chipped in with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  5-8 Jr. Aaliyah Wells added 11 points and Shay Steele also reached double figures with 10 points, four rebounds, and four steals.  6-2 So. Adrianna Murphy, and 5-6 Jr, Brianna Mitchell.  Eastern Kentucky University Chrissy Roberts countered with 6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray, 6-1 Sr. Miranda Maples, 5-8 Jr. Alexus Cooper, and 5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter.

 

Eastern Kentucky outscored Southeast Missouri 14-0 over the last 4:39 minutes of the game and Michaela Hunter hit a basket with 15 seconds remaining to give EKU the first lead of the game and a 56-55 victory.  Eastern Kentucky shot 31.7% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Southeast Missouri turnovers.  Southeast Missouri shot 34.3% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Redhawks connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Shameekia Murray led Eastern Kentucky with 16 points and eight rebounds.  Michaela Hunter added 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Jalen O’Bannon recorded 10 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

6-0 Fr. Imani Johnson led Southeast Missouri with 14 points and nine rebounds.  Brianna Mitchell added 13 points.  Adrianna Murphy recorded 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  5-11 So. Deja Jones chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.
