Poll number 1!
I was just so sick of hearing Sal go on and on about Matt (Yamato) from Digimon and how good his singing voice was. I really was about to burst. Ookay, so I like Matt. He's a real cutie. But come on... if I hear one more time about his singing, I'm going to bite through the telephone wires. Yet this whole predicament did inspire me to create a new poll for the website. After all, one of my great loves are for Blond Gods and isn't Matt blond? Of course he is! So, here is my mini shrine to a blond god: Name: Yamato (Matt) Ishida Family: Parents divorced - Father: Ishida Masaharu - Mother: Takaishi Natsuko - Younger Brother: Takeru (TK) Takaishi - Grandmother: NO idea what her name is - Grandfather: He's FRENCH! Which begs the question, who is then French, Matt's dad or mom? Personally, I think it's Matt's mom because she is blond... when's the last time you saw a blond Japanese woman? Age: In the first Digimon series he is seen around 11. In the Digimon series 2, he is a teenager in his very own band. At the end of that series, he is an older man, married (at least, I think so...) with two kids and in a distinguished career.
Why he is this month's blond god: Isn't it obvious? For one, he was the coolest guy in the first series. He was always detached and calm compared to Tai's frantic leadership. And he played the harmonica like the blues, man. Then in the second series, he was the singer in his own band and even had a groupie (Davis' sister). And yeah, if you listen to Sal, he has a wonderful voice. Those songs he sang were pretty catchy. Oh and how's this for a stunner? He stole Tai's girl! (snickers)
