1st Form- Sil Lim Tao

2nd Form- Chum Kil

3rd Form- Bil Jee

INTRODUCTION

Chum Kil means "search for the bridge" or "bridging the gap", it is the intermediate form spanning from Sil Lim Tao and Bil Jee, and connects the knowledge of the two sets. This 2nd form in the Wing Chun system has more advanced movements compared to Sil Lim Tao. Without Sil Lim Tao though, and its basic movements, the 2nd form does not have the solid foundation upon which to build the more advanced techniques. Set 1 was stationary, but Cham Kil teaches mobility, using the sliding motion of the legs.

In the development of the legs in fighting it is important to maintain balance and steady pressure on one's opponent while driving into him. Master the simple, direct kicks of the Wing Chun and you will have added considerably to your fighting arsenal.

Try to maintain a steady pace while performing Chum Kil and apply dynamic tension principles to each and every muscle utilized in the movements.
