INTRODUCTION

Bruce Lee gave his idea a name and now is portrayed by others as a martial art. What the real Masters e.g. Dan Inosanto and Brandon Lee alike say is that Bruce wanted  people to refer to it as an ideology/ process of continuous refinement incorporating all available moves and not just a limited set of moves from a particular martial art. In other words, if there was a Champion fighter, he would be able to find a weakness in an exponent and exploit it to his advantage- His art signifies invincibility.

Below are some of the aspects of improving your body ready for self-defense.

The name Jeet Kune Do literally means "Way of the Intercepting Fist", and the most famous rule is to "absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is specifically your own."

Jeet Kune Do emphasizes simplicity. Its followers consider it to be a point of view rather than a school or style of martial art. No forms are taught, nor are set techniques designed to counter other techniques.

Instead, it attempts to take a problem solving approach. The essentials are to preserve the "center line"; a concept the founder (Bruce Lee) learned from Wing Chun; to maintain a constant rhythm and to begin sparring immediately.
