Unless you have a blocker, above are advertisements that were put on by Angelfire. Because this is a free site, you may also get pop-ups. The most disturbing new addition to this is a "whole screen" version of a pop-up. If you click to go anywhere on my site, and it suddenly turns into something very different, this is just one of these "whole screen" pop-ups. Leila

Leila's Lone Gunmen Stories

Welcome! Fanfic about The Lone Gunmen: Byers, Langly, and Frohike are illustrated by marker and color pencil drawings. This originally was a separate site from my X-Files site, but not anymore.

There is a longer Disclaimer at the bottom of this page, but these characters are the property of Chris Carter, 1013 Productions, and Fox Company.

I like to hear from visitors to my site, so please send me an e-mail? Unfortunately I am still working to restore things on this site that got lost during the 14 year gap, when the X-Files was off the air and I was just letting it sit. The "click-on e-mail" is something where I am still working. Please copy and paste this e-mail address to write to me:

Thanks!

Oh! Also this is important too. In this section, the Gunmen are not dead. :)

I wrote this in 2000:
The purpose of the site, besides amusement,
has been to practice
working with an internet site.

The purpose of the stories
has been to get the boys
some wimmenfolk.
It's been at least eight years
that we know about.

And then the Lone Gunmen were exposed to a deadly virus in Season Nine. Then they, being dead, did not appear in the X-Files. Over the summer and fall of 2017, I wrote a story about what happened to them after the deadly virus incident, in a story called "Old Wine In New Skins" which is linked in the MENU at the bottom of the page. Like all my stories it meant to be entertainment.

My son had come over to our house to do laundry when the second episode of the 2018 X-Files was on, and we were surprised and amused about the similarities between my story "Old Wine in New Skins" which was written before Season 11 started, and "This" the second episode. Both even have people who speak Russian.

Also, my son said that Langly's part in that episode was like a certain trope of characters who exist only as a voice in an earpiece or over a phone. His examples were Bosley from Charlie’s Angels, Cortana from Halo, Basil from Austin Powers, and Autocon from Metalgear. At that point my husband came in from church band practice and added to the list the voice on the tape at the opening of Mission Impossible that told Mr. Phelps about the new mission and then self-destructed. I wrote to my sister about this and she added in Sam, the voice of the mobile telephone operator in Richard Diamond, Private Eye. She also wrote- "OK, OK, we sometimes saw her legs, but still...(and the legs were Mary Tyler Moore's.)" So anyway, now Langly joins that trope. The only difference is that phones nowadays send pictures.

So this is my site about The Lone Gunmen, and in these early stories, they get girlfriends.

HOWEVER
This should
NOT
be construed as indicating
that this is
A
LONE GUNMEN SHIPPER SITE

wherein the entire "story" consists of one character musing on&on&on about their feelings for someone and then that someone ruminating on&on&on about their feelings about the first person and this going on(gag!) ad nauseum for oh...good golly just...
