(Characters from The X-Files are owned by Chris Carter, 1013 Productions, and Fox Television.)

Not Familiar
Very Small Lower-Case x-ish Stories: #9

Mulder and Scully investigate the odd deaths of people in Brooklyn, NY. Autopsies reveal they all died shortly after consuming a meal, but there are no traces of poison, indications of choking, or similar evidence. Investigation reveals a previously unknown Jewish Deli. Mulder uncovers its presence by looking down the street. None of the other shop-owners on the street seem to know it is there. "No, I'm not familiar with that." is the usual response when asked about it.

They go in and question the people behind the counter. When Mulder goes to use the restroom, Scully is tempted to buy some of the delicious-looking food. Mulder returns and saves her in the nick of time, knocking from her hand a knish she's about to bite into. He points to the menu board. At the top, it reads, "Our Knishes Are To Die For!" They bring the owners to justice.

Leila, who comes from New England, shares a laugh with you: "Ha, Ha, Sooooo silly!
Mulder discovers a heretofore unknown Jewish Deli in Brooklyn, NY! Ha, Ha!
I mean, it's not like you have to go on a witch-hunt, Ha, Ha!
