Psariotes Taverna is situated in the harbor of the village of Linaria. We order the spaghetti with lobster, fish, a Greek salad and half a liter of white wine. The service is extremely friendly and we get a free starter. The spaghetti with lobster tastes good. It is a very big plate and therefore I cannot eat it all. Unfortunately one fish was okay but the other fish had not been cleaned properly. The Greek salad was fine.

Magari Taverna is also situated in the harbor of the village of Linaria, right next to the Psariotes Taverna where we ate the lobster and the fish. Here we order the Greek salad, the fava with anise, the Skyrian cheese pie, half a liter of white wine and twice the grilled sardines. Again the service is extremely friendly, but then again: the people on Skyros are all so incredibly sweet. The food is very good and original. The wine is delicious, the bread is fresh and we do not have any comments at all.

Juicy Beach Bar is located on the beach of Magazia. It is a rather large and modern eatery where trendy music is played and also a gathering place for the local youth. Juicy Beach Bar also offers beach chairs and umbrellas. We order the omelette, the Greek salad and half a liter of white wine. The food is as you expect in a commercial place, a little standard tourist food and no culinary delights. The service is very friendly though.

Taverna Gialos is located on one of the stairs leading to the beach of Magazia. We order the salted fried fish, the meatballs, the Greek salad and half a liter of white wine. The food is simple but not distasteful and the service is friendly.

We ate at the Almathia Taverna in Skyros Chora twice. It was situated diagonally opposite the Nefeli Hotel where we stayed, so easy to walk to, but also because the food was fantastic and the service (by Poppy and her colleague) was super friendly. Both times we had more or less the same and we ordered goat in lemon sauce and a chicken dish with fries. In addition a Greek salad, tzatziki and half a liter of white wine. We were also given free extra dishes each time. Cheese dishes (hot) or sausage and a kind of saganaki (fried cheese). The amount was so much that we had a "doggy bag" made from the chicken, because I could not eat it all. The food including the French fries were all terrific. Really recommended.

Manna Cafe & Eatery is located in Skyros Chora, when you walk into the town and go up a little bit past the main square. You can drink something, but they also serve simple meals. We only drank coffee and it was very good. The service was very friendly.
