Here in Hotel Nefeli we have stayed five days in May 2018. The hotel is located on the edge of the center of Skyros Chora within walking distance of a very good and large supermarket and all kinds of shops and taverns, and 25 meters away is also one of the best restaurants of the island (Almathia) where you can eat very cheaply and where the service is very friendly. The people at the reception are extremely helpful and nice and the rooms we reserved were fully equipped, with a bath and an extra long bed (2.20 meters). It was very clean and there was a daily maid service. There was also a lot of cupboard space, but we always carry around 4 or 5 kilos of luggage ... The breakfast at the hotel was very good, with fresh coffee, orange juice, fresh bread, yoghurt with honey, delicious jams, feta, warm Skyrian cheese pies, cake and biscuits and an omelette. There was a breakfast room but you could also take your breakfast outside by the pool.

Lykomides Studios and apartments had the highest rating for accommodations on the island of Skyros (2018) and it is run by a warm, hospitable, enthusiastic and wonderful woman with the name of Soula Pappa. She was so kind that she offered up a whole day to pick us up at the hotel where we stayed and she drove us around the island in her 4x4 to show us places that we would probably not have found by ourselves, and drove us over beautiful roads that we would not have picked. Thank you Soula for making our holiday on Skyros even more memorable that it would have been if we would have organised everything ourselves.

Pegasus Estate is located in Acherounes, in front of the beach, in a small bay at the south part of the island, protected by the wind. The beach is one of the most beautiful on the island, ideal for fishing and harboring small boats. Not far away from the estate are two small taverns offering Greek cuisine and fresh fish. At 10 minutes walking distance is the port of Linaria. The estate is situated 8 kilometer from Skyros Town, which is connected by local buses 6 times a day.

The first of the two buildings, which was named after Theseus' mother and Aegea's wife, and is called Aethra. On the ground floor there are five comfortable studios for couples, which can accommodate a third person, if baby or child, by adding an extra bed. On the first floor there are two more studios and an apartment with two rooms, two bathrooms and a living-room, suitable for two friendly couples or a family of 4-5 persons.

The second building was named "Aegli" (=glamour) because good taste is everywhere, since stone and wood dominate in all its rooms. It has everything, there is in "Aithra" building and what is more, it has central heating for wintertime. The ground floor apartment, "Villa", has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a large living-room which is separated from a fully equipped kitchen by a breakfast bar and a large verandah with pergola. The building's first floor has two apartments. "The Skyrian", as it is named, has one bedroom with wooden floor, double iron bed and a small balcony. Coming in through the entrance one passes into the living room which is connected to a fully equipped kitchenette. Finally, above the kitchenette there is a traditional Skyrian mezzanine level (sfas) with two single mattresses on a wooden floor, suitable for children. The second apartment, the big studio, consists of a bedroom with a double bed and an extra one for a third person. Its well organized kitchen is separated from the living room by a breakfast bar. It has a large bathroom with a bathtub. This apartment also has a big, secluded balcony.

Latest info: Skyros Island has a ferry boat 'Achilleas' which leaves Kimi Port daily and twice per day (summer season), which has a direct bus connection from Athens Bus Station. We also have a flight from Athens and Thessaloniki three times per week. Another new feature that you can add is that we offer mini bus/taxi transfers directly for Athens Airport or Athens Hotel to Kimi port and then Skyros Island twice per week and from Volos Airport (low cost airlines) once per week. The Perigiali hotel complex has devoted to the accommodation of its guests 28 units divided into rooms, studios, and open-plan apartments.
