No, seriously. Just now they had a thing about it being 'Take-your-dog-to-work day'. It started of as a normal 'dead donkey' report but decended into the newsreader discussing her own dog Stafford ('...named after the late chancellor' Copyright. Monty Python). It hit the peak(?) of banality when she said that Stafford was 'very lazy'.

Also, on Celebrity! just now, the editor of Smash Hits has said that Geri Halliwell is a mixture of Pat Pheonix, Barbara Windsore and , I think, Shirley Bassey. Twat.

Oh, and read the second column in Funny Old World in the new Private Eye. It HAS to be a spoof.

Just remembered that on the earlier edition of London Tonight (Today?) that Diana Donovan was on and showed a baby photo of daughter Daisy Donovan.

(Strangely enough, Topol, you actually come across as what I imagine an 11ocs writer to be. The one who signed himself A Bit Of the 11 O'Clock Show at least *sounded* like he genuinely wanted to do something of quality.)
