The list on the right gives access to the costs of various different types of weapons available for use in Dark Thaum. Below is a quick summery of what each section comprises of and also a guide to weapon sizes.
Projectile Weapons: This section deals with weapons that fire a solid shot. Covers things like bullet firing weapons and shotguns as well as their ammunition.
Laser Weapons: This section deals with Laser Weaponary, a weapon that utilises a very fine beam of light to cut open targets.
Energy Weapons: This section deals with energy weapons, weapons that use pure energy to strike their target.
Flamethrowers: Everybodies favorite, this weapon produces a sheet of flame that covers the target in flames. Flamethrowers however in the sol of 100'000 have come a long way from what they once were.
Grenades: When you need that extra bit of destructiveness, here's the original weapon in a can. Just pull the pin, throw and duck. Preferably in that order.
Other Ranged Weapons: What? Not happy with the weapon choices given above? Ok, here's some more weapons not already covered above including everything from bows and arrows to missile launchers to No Problem.
Accessories: No good marksman would be seen without them. The little add on's like scopes that can be added to your weapons to make them that little bit better.
Close Combat Weapons: So ranged weapons are your tact. How about something a little bit more personal.
Weapon Size
Weapons fall into one of five size catogries. The size of the weapon determines how easy it is to use and how easy it is to hide.
Auxillary: The smallest weapon size, auxillary weapons are usually a single shot or carry a low number of shots at the very best. They have to be mounted on the side of another weapon (maximum of one on a rifle sized weapon or three for a heavy weapon) and to this purpose count as an accessory of sorts. They can be configured to fire seperately or to fire at the same time as the main weapon.
Pistol: A hand held weapon that easy to conceal. It is normally a good idea in the Dark Thaum to carry at least one of these. Pistols can be fired one handed, though some people find it easier to use two hands to brace themselves for aiming.
Rifle: A larger weapon than the pistol, normally has to be fired with two hands, though the incredible strong or insane may try firing them one handed. Can be concealed in a trench coat just about, as long as one doesn't bend over or anything.
Heavy: Big weapons, there's no concealing these without going to some extreme lengths. As their name suggests, they are also very heavy weapons which require two hands to carry and usually a shoulder strap or two and a hell of a lot of strength. Not for the weakling these.
Artillary: The largest weapon type (well, to the common man anyway). These can not be carried but have to be mounted either to a vehicle or at least a movable chasis. Very powerful but also very difficult to hide.
Funok size weapons
Funok have weapons also, but they are two small to be covered by the rules here. Instead, the easiest way to work out a Funok weapon is create it's equivilant normal weapon and then divide the cost by ten. Funok weapons however, are just as deadly to other small species (Basically Funok and Faerion) but against all other spieces, unless it's a very powerful weapon, it won't do much more than sting them or burn them a little a bit.
On the other hand, Funok hit by a normal weapon.....
